Philosophy Concept by Socrates

The Doctrine of Socrates: Concepts
The doctrine of Socrates can be summed up in two words: concepts, morality -- or better, moral concepts.
For Socrates, the concept is that of which all think when they speak of a thing. In the rational part of every man there exist some notions which are common to all and hence enjoy universality and necessity, and which form the substratum of true understanding or knowledge. The concept of which the Sophists speak is merely an opinion, a fleeting instant of knowledge. Socrates does not undervalue such knowledge, but neither does he consider it to be full; for knowledge should be well enough established to serve as the foundation of science. True science is universal; that is, it is common to all men and to all times; it is objective, and is not subject to the changes of fortune. True science consists in understanding through concepts, which have the same universal characteristics as science itself.
To arrive at an understanding of such concepts, Socrates used the inductive method of dialogue (Socratic method), the principal parts of which were two: irony and maieutics. In general the process was as follows:

  • Socrates first posed a question -- for example, "What is justice?" Since he had said that he did not himself know what it could be (Socratic ignorance), he asked his pupils what they thought was justice.
  • The pupils, for the greater part Sophists, answered according to the Sophistic method, adducing many examples; e.g., "Zeus is just"; "the gods are just," etc. (Exemplification.) "Oh, how many justices!" answered Socrates. "I asked what is justice, and you answer by bringing me a great number of justices."
  • Thus he passed over to a criticism (irony) of the examples adduced, through which he cleared the disciples' minds of prejudices and false notions about the question proposed.
  • From irony he passed to maieutics -- the art which Socrates said he had learned from his mother; she helped the parts of the body, he aided those of the spirit. (The word is derived from the Greek "maieutikos," pertaining to midwifery. The maieutic method was Socrates' way of bringing out ideas latent in the mind.) Maieutics was the conclusive part of the dialogue, in which Socrates tried to make his disciples see how, by reflecting upon themselves, they could observe the presence of certain elements common and necessary to all justices (the concept of justice).
  • Such elements took concrete form in the definition, which summed up in a few words the characteristics that were judged necessary to the concept of the question proposed.
It is needless to say that the Socratic dialogues did not always succeed in stabilizing the definition. In such cases, the so-called Socratic ignorance which Socrates professed at the beginning of the question was not fictitious. Thus the dialogue was a work of self-criticism, done with the help of the students for the purpose, if possible, of arriving at a concept -- a true understanding of the question proposed.
The Doctrine of Socrates: Ethics
In ethics, Socrates did not surpass the prejudice of Greek intellectualism, which made the practice completely dependent upon theory. It is enough to know virtue in order to be virtuous. Everyone wishes to be happy. If he does not attain happiness, it is because he does not know the way that leads to happiness. Consequently, so-called evil men are in reality only ignorant; the evil is reduced to error. As vice is synonymous with ignorance, so knowledge of the good is synonymous with virtue. Thus it is easy to see why Socrates, who intended to form a virtuous youth, restricted his teaching to the search for moral concepts. It is to be noted that moral intellectualism is present in all Greek thought, not excepting the great ethical systems of Plato and Aristotle.

Placebo - Every Me and Every You

Sucker love is heaven sent.
You pucker up, our passion's spent.
My hearts a tart, your body's rent.
My body's broken, yours is bent.

Carve your name into my arm.
Instead of stressed, I lie here charmed.
Cuz there's nothing else to do,
Every me and every you.

Sucker love, a box I choose.
No other box I choose to use.
Another love I would abuse,
No circumstances could excuse.

In the shape of things to come.
Too much poison come undone.
Cuz there's nothing else to do,
Every me and every you.
Every me and every you,
Every Me...he

Sucker love is known to swing.
Prone to cling and waste these things.
Pucker up for heavens sake.
There's never been so much at stake.

I serve my head up on a plate.
It's only comfort, calling late.
Cuz there's nothing else to do,
Every me and every you.
Every me and every you,
Every Me...he

Every me and every you,
Every Me...he

Like the naked leads the blind.
I know I'm selfish, I'm unkind.
Sucker love I always find,
Someone to bruise and leave behind.

All alone in space and time.
There's nothing here but what here's mine.
Something borrowed, something blue.
Every me and every you.
Every me and every you,
Every Me...he

Every me and every you,
Every Me...he [x4]

An conversation with an Old Friend

He was from Guinea, the african guy. I have been knowing him almost nearly a year. He is one of my best friend. The most i like from him that he is and innocent and very honest guy. We likes discuss about politics, history of nations and the other things. He came from the father proud of family. He studied here by scholarship from his governmnet. Once i asked, "what is your favourite food", he answered, " All the food here is spicy, but the people from us always eat potatoes. So i like potatoes....plain".

Last Friday, i met him and we greet each other as usual. In this month he is fasting as like the others moslems in the world. In that time i was alone so i force him to chat(sorry), it was very long time since we haven't meet. So i opened conversation with the interesting topic for him. Again i forced him to open his mouth with anger(or proud) and passion to fight. I was threw him with:

(Situation: two of us in the same table, i have a can of coffee and lit a ciggaretes, he was uniformed with "guinea moslem traditional suite", and he wass fasting)

Me: What is the point for fasting?

Oumar: Hey i am moslem, and in this month i always do that. I had done my pray this afternoon and came back here with my countreymen....

Me: I am moslem, but myself dont fasting as you people do...

Oumar: Its up to you, Our religon never pushes a moslem to fasting. Its up to his own right...

Me: In koran have verse that if a moslem do not pray for afternoon's Friday three times therefore he must be kafir. I admit that i didnt do that had been a year. I must be Kafir. What do you think?.

Oumar:(smiling). I have no right to judge you Kafir or whatever. I am strict and you have your own liberty. Its up to you(again).

Me: Hmm, ok. But do you believe to God?, Are you believe there is a god?

Oumar: Im confusing why you asking me that question, You are moslem but It is again up to you. But you know about a judgement when it comes, dont you?, in the Koran you could see that. dont you scared about that?

Me:I take the risk, I am moslem, i have point of it. But for me it makes no sense at all. Have you touched the God?.

Oumar:......

The conversation took like 40 minutes and after that he permitted to leave.....

( I may to continue that answer, but for me it wont accepted. Cause i have my perception and would keep stick on it in my life.....Then in this blog step by step i would expose what is God in my point of view..step by step....)

Verse: 23 (The Messenger)

In this world, since it was shaped, and the human being starts to exist, there was a phenomenon that in every generation in early of Humanity must have a messenger, or called the prophet. From Prophet Adam as the start, it was smooth that proof might be in that time only Paganism -Anemishm and Dinamism- exist in the very first time to be a faith among human.

Hundred years even thousand years afterward, problems had been more complicated than before, while Human keeps grow and forms community. Each Community must be have a leader and each leader of those communities realized that pagan was not enough to cover the faith of humanity. Jews has Moses, Christian has Jesus, Islam has Muhammad.

Nowadays, Those three religions have empowered the culuture of the universe that affect people to be always put their interest at most in GOD. Those prophet are succedded to divine what was the most important things in Human Belief. However, its become more complicated when there is a feeling about primordialism. It is all about, "Who was the First?.

The First was Adam, But the last?.

Schindlers Jews

Schindlerjuden, literally translated as "Schindler Jews," were roughly 1,000 to 1,200 Jews who were saved by Oskar Schindler during the Holocaust. Their story has been depicted in the book Schindler's Ark, by Thomas Keneally, and Steven Spielberg's film adaptation of the novel, Schindler's List. Poldek Pfefferberg, one of the survivors, convinced Thomas Keneally to write the novel and Steven Spielberg to produce the film.
The end of the film shows actual, color footage of the Schindlerjuden depicting each putting a stone on Schindler's grave. They (or their surviving relative(s)) are each accompanied by the actor who portrayed them as they do so. Other mourners in the scene include the widow of Itzhak Stern, accompanied by the actor who portrayed her husband in the film, Ben Kingsley; Schindler's widow, Emilie Schindler; and the actor who portrays Schindler himself in the film, Liam Neeson. Neeson is the last one to approach the grave, and instead of a stone he places two red roses in the center. Appropriately, he is accompanied by no one.
In 2006, there were estimated to be over 7,000 descendants of Schindler's Jews living in the US, Europe, and Israel.
In April 2009 the original list (including 801 names) was found in Sydney among the documentation Thomas Keneally gave as a donation to an Australian library.

HARAPAN.

"Berharap dunia hanya hitam dan putih,
yang benar dan yang salah,
yang rendah dan yang tinggi,
sang iblis dan si malaikat,
agama yang benar dan agama yang salah,
ras yang terunggul dan ras budak,
Bangsa terkuat dan bangsa terlemah,

Berharap dunia penuh dengan warna warni,
lebih indah dari pelangi,
dipenuhi intrik dan nafsu duniawi,
orang lemah mengaku kuat begitu juga sebaliknya,
orang pintar mengaku bodoh begitu juga sebaliknya,
si iblis mengaku malaikat begitu juga sebaliknya,
yang menyedihkan jadi menyenangkan begitu juga sebaliknya.
Apa yang terbaik?"

ia tidak sopan,
ia amoral,
ia pemarah,

Definition of HELL

"Hell truthly have never been existed in the world.
Anger is the only a meaning of the realistic hell.
Which was divine by human itself."

WRITING SPONTANEOUSLY WITHOUT THINK DEEP

"Imagine yourself alone sitting in the edge of your bed,
thinking continously and stand to be alone,
keep up the spirit of your principles,
so do things alone, means you proud you could be yourself, eat lonely,
means you have nothing changed in your friendship,
fell ashamed among your friends, signs that you are strangers who wanted to be normal,
Feel sins haunted your life, means you are crying yourself deep in your heart, blaming and revenging,
thinking seriously when people try to throw joke right into you, and take seriously of it,
what the hell is going on?, like the sleeping tigers would waited a whole time to strikes back his enemy,
though he is sleeping, pretender, like sleeping but you stare everywhere, my self crying,
i had to stand this life, and i have been trying to change every each of things turning on,
like water fall down, to see the people see my image of attitude, my point of view as a human and lots of logical things.
I am a positive thinkers, who would not believe with the things that have never been existed,
which that i cant touch which that i cant kiss as well as breath too.
I believe the facts and proud of the hidden history,
the history which had benn disappeared too long and i have been trying to find out what happenned in this world that i live.
Religion is the answer, it could the only one answer for the quest of human, surviving. Survive itself have a lot of way through the human nature.
